The IDHEE is an independent non-profit making professional body, founded in 1964, serving the Domestic Heating Engineer for more than 48 years.

The IDHEE is the pre-eminent professional body for the domestic heating engineer. The Institute aims to promote energy efficient domestic central heating components and the installation of safe and efficient systems.

There may be some members still displaying the previous IDHE logo following the change to IDHEE, and this is still valid until stationery and vehicle livery is changed.

PAS 2030: 2012 is the specification for Green Deal Installers. This document details the requirements for the installation of energy efficiency measures (EEM) in existing buildings. It is designed to work in conjunction with the Green Deal Financing Mechanism which is the governments flagship policy for improving the energy efficiency of buildings. Compliance to this PAS document is required by The Department for Energy and Climate Change in order to undertake installation work in the Green Deal.
